Klein´s house is also known as a Tower house or Poláš´s house by its present owner. The building belonged to Edmund Klein whose family had owned an older single – storey house on its place since 1877.
Klein´s house was built in the years 1902 – 1903 partly on the site of the older building and partly on the site of the municipal bulwark´s bastion. Some dwellings were situated there, Tekov people´s bank, that belonged among the most powerful and stable financial institutions in the district, was also based there.
